Why Gacho Bad?

Shaped by two decades of librarianship and a lifetime of lived extremes, I approach art as a space for discovery, connection, and reinvention. My work blends digitally drawn images and other forms of digital media to create satirical, slightly sarcastic, and humorous pieces that offer insight into my South Texican world.

Just as libraries serve as gateways to knowledge and community, my artistic practice allows me to explore and highlight the lesser-known microcosm cultures of South Texas. By weaving humor with cultural expression, I hope to spark curiosity, open minds, and celebrate the uniqueness of being a South Texan.
